Privacy in Tabatonic
Version: 11 October 2026. Applies to the edition with a free tier, personal trainer, workout music and an optional one-time purchase. This is an English translation of the Norwegian privacy policy.
Workout data on your device
Tabatonic from Alimulium AS stores your own workouts, programs and settings locally on your device. Training requires no account and works without an internet connection once the voice pack has been downloaded. We do not send your exercise choices or training programs to the advertising or purchase providers.
Sharing workouts
When you share a workout as a link, the workout data is contained in the link itself (after the # character). The browser does not send this part to the server when the recipient opens the link. Large workouts are shared as a file. The link or file is sent through the service you choose, and the recipient can save it and share it further.
Downloads from our servers
Voice packs for languages other than English and workout music are downloaded from tabatonic.alimulium.no when you select them or start a workout. The server is operated by Cloudflare on behalf of Alimulium AS and, as with any web request, receives your IP address and technical information about the request. We do not send any workout data or identifiers with these downloads and do not use them to recognise you.
Suggestions for new exercises
If you send a suggestion for a new exercise, the name and description you write are sent to tabatonic.alimulium.no and stored with Cloudflare together with the time it was sent. To limit misuse to three suggestions per day, we also store a one-way coded value (HMAC) of your IP address, not the address itself. Suggestions are used only to consider new exercises. Do not include personal data in your suggestion. We delete suggestions when we no longer need them, and you can request deletion at the address below.
Personal trainer and workout log
The personal trainer stores your age, self-assessed fitness level, training background, activity level, weekly goal and reminder choices locally. The timer stores the time, exercise names and completed training time in a local workout log. Program suggestions are created on the device; your training profile, workout log and achievements are not sent to our servers or to advertising and purchase providers. You can delete your profile and workout log on the trainer page. Optional notifications are scheduled by the operating system. When you export your training plan to your calendar, it is processed by the calendar app you choose; imported reminders must be changed or deleted there. The operating system's backups may include local training data, depending on your device settings.
Optional purchase of the full version
In editions where purchases are enabled, payment is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat is used to verify the purchase and restore access. This involves processing purchase and transaction information, a pseudonymous app user ID and technical information about the app and device. The app has no login of its own and does not send your name or email address to RevenueCat. We do not receive your card number. Verified access is stored on the device for offline use.

Ads in the free edition
In the free edition, Google AdMob may show one interstitial ad after a completed workout on iOS and Android, when your privacy choices, the network and ad availability allow it. On Android, the permission to use the advertising ID is declared. The ad service may process your IP address, technical device information, identifiers (including Android's advertising ID where available), ad interactions and diagnostics to deliver, measure and secure ads. The processing depends on your privacy choices and the platform. The full version does not request or load ads.
Google's privacy dialog is shown when required. You can open ad and privacy choices from Settings when this is offered. You can still train if ads are not allowed or not available. This edition of the app does not ask for Apple's tracking permission (ATT).

Storage and your choices
You can delete your own programs in the app and remove local app data through the operating system. Purchase history held by the store and the providers is not deleted when you uninstall the app. Operating system backups and secure storage may also be kept. Contact us with questions about personal data processed for the app, access or deletion. The providers, including Cloudflare, may process data outside Norway and the EEA; see their privacy information about storage and transfers.
